Risk

I have truthfully only played this game once. From what I remember you try to take over the world. This is not a short game, but it is fun and competitive.

Working for free: Day 1

My first day of student teaching went very well, considering the weather. Today was my cooperating teacher’s birthday so the students came in all excited, and their excitement turned to curiosity as they saw a new face in the room. Some of the students quickly came up to me and introduced themselves, others just wonder were their previous student teacher was. Luckily the students were able to go outside for first recess, before the storm hit, and the class ran smoothly considering that the students were inside for lunch and afternoon recess. The surprise of my/our day came during afternoon recess when I went to use the restroom and found the whole front office, and teacher’s work area and lunch room were covered in at least 6 inches of water, this said I did not get to use the restroom. I heard from a friend of mine (another student teacher) that they were in the library because of the rain and then there was a waterfall into the library as the skylight started to let the water in. These were not the only parts of the school covered in water some of the classroom also had water in them. This changed our afternoon schedule because we were not able to go to the computer lab, because there was a class meeting in there, so the teacher found some other assignment to work on.
Today I was able to see the staff come together to keep the kids calm, and safe during the thunder, lighting, rain and wind. I am looking forward to the rest of this placement, and hope that all days are not quite as wet as today. I also did not have to stay as late as I normally will because everything that still needed to be done was in an area covered with water. Pulse my cooperating teacher wanted us to get home before the next wave of the storm hit. Thanks for all your support.
