Merry Christma & Happy New Year

I Have been up In Washington having a great time. Their has not been any snow here, but driving up we say a lot and took some pictures. Christmas was so nice with the 6 of us my grand parents gave me enough scrap booking stuff to last me a loooooong time. My parents gave me a very neat Chinese dinning set for 6. I love eating soup from Chinese spoons so my mom got me the set for my hope chest.

I worked on a project that I will tell you all about in a week!

I have been baking with my grandma all afternoon - she is teaching me how to make her Cinnamon Rolls, if you are nice i might make them for you when i get home. I hope that you all had a great Christmas and have a Great New year.

Knott's

Knott's was so much fun. We were their for about 12 hours and only road 6 rides, but we had so much fun. The best ride of the day for me was boomerang - in the very first row. It was so scary but so much fun! After we left the park at 10:00 we went to in and out to get some dinner. The cold and stiffness from standing in line so long made us all a little crazy. This week is a fun filled week busy with friends, it makes up for the school year when I relay got to do anything with them. Last night we had dinner and then went to see Enchanted, it was very funny. Wednesday I have a Jr. High Christmas Party, and then Thursday at 11:59 pm we are going to see National Treasure book of secrets. It will be so much fun.

Christmas Break

I am officially on Christmas break, from school, i still have work but that is OK. I finished all my classes and it was a great semester, but i am glade it is over. The kingdoms kids shows went great, I hope you were all able to make it. This weekend is filled with more Christmas fun for me. Saturday I am going to Knotts Berry Farm with Matt, Rachel, and some other friends. Sunday we are going to the Christmas choir concert. I am very anxious for next weekend when I will go on a road trip to Washington, to spend time with my grandparents.

A few night ago, I had the idea of putting the cat in a bowl, she stayed their about 15 min here is a picture. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Crazy Weekend

So this is the time of year were things get hectic, for me and most of you. This coming weekend has been long awaited for me. I will be spending about 90% of my weekend at the church, preparing for the Kingdom Kids performance that will take place Saturday and Sunday night. The kids, and leaders have been working hard. This weekend is also the weekend before finals, that means that I only have one week of school left, but i need to study this weekend, during that 10% that is not busy with Kingdom Kids and probably during kingdom kids. I know it will all work out, it always does.

This is one of the things that my dad and i have done together the past few years, i relay have enjoyed it! I think in the picture we were going over the Jericho song.

I highly suggest that you go see the play, tickets are only $2.00 and can be bought at the door. This Christmas play will touch your heart, and remind you of many biblical truths. The play starts at 6:00 both Saturday and Sunday night, I would suggest getting their early.

WICKED!

Saturday Matt, I, my sister, and four of our other Friends went to see......... Wicked! It was so good, If you have not seen it i suggest that you go. We went up early so we could spend the afternoon at Hollywood and Highland, they were getting ready for the Christmas parried, so part of the street was closed, so we stood in the middle of Hollywood street and took pictures! This was a super fun day, and I want to see the play again!

TODAY! A not so crazy, but fun day!

So today I started my day be being awaken by the cat at 7:00 am. After I was unable to fall asleep, I figured I would get up, and start wrapping Christmas boxes. Although I wish they were presents they are props for the Kingdom Kids Play. They will be making the wall of Jericho during the play.

I then hung out and watched some TV, then Matt came down and we ate dinner with my family, and played some games. Then Matt and I made some cookies! It was fun, although my family gets made at me for not letting them eat all the cookies in one night oh well.

new experiences

So today I went to the hospital with Matt. I know that he has been through a lot of medical stuff, and with my own family I have experienced a lot of different medical things. But today was the first time that I have been with Matt as he goes through a test. I was very nervous about the test as was he, and his family. The test went well, and all looks good. :) This makes me so happy. Today I also got a chance to spend some good time with his parents. I am glad the day of waiting is over and am looking forward to the next test that god sends my way.

So I have been super busy with school this year, and although I can see the light at the end it just seems so far away since all the homework is blocking the way. All my classes have homework to turn in on a weekly basis, which is good for me since test are not my string point, but all the homework is making my home life all work. It does not help that I have been sick and now have makeup work to do. I will get it done!!! But you may not see me as much!

Pursuit Film Festival

Pursuit is the high school group at my church, and last night they had their first film festival, the kids got in groups and worked on a video with a biblical message and then last night they hit the theater, church, for opening night and awards! This was an open event for the church, and after youth group Wednesday I got an email from one of my Jr. High girls saying we should get dressed up and go support the high schoolers. I told her that if she got it going i would join them. So last night i got dressed up and meet my Jr high girls for dinner and the movies. This was a super fun night. The church was decorated and had a red carpet. As you walked in the paparazzi, aka high school leaders, interview and took pictures of all the guest and movie stars. If you were not there you missed out! I so proud of my girls for planing for us to go, and all i had to do was show up, and drive them the two minutes form dinner to church. We had such a fun night!

Fire

So all these fires are getting to me. It has been sad to see all the homes that have burned down and all the people that have had to leave their homes. I was feeling pretty safe being away from the fire at home but last night the fire at Pendelton started. We could see the glow, the sky was red and i got freaked out. This fire is about 10 miles away, and should not come close to hurting our house. But it is still scary, I don't like fire. It is possible that I will not be able to get home after I leave because of freeway closers. If our home is effected any more then it is now that will make all of our family members in so Ca in danger. There are 3 different family in three different cities, with 3 different fires knocking on 3 different doors.

Today when i got up the sun looked really cool because of all the smoke, this picture is not even what is looked like, it is hard to take pictures of the sun. Today it looked like a red circle, that you could look at in the sky. Hope that you are all safe and that this all stops soon.

Funny Story!

So the day after i got my hair cut i walked into work and here is the conversation that fallowed.

Student: Mrs. Mommi did you get a hair cut?

Me: Yes i did

Student: Why

Me: So i could give my hair to people who don't have any

Student: Oh OK (long pause)

Student: well do you still have hair bands?

Me: Yes, but my hair is to short to use them

Student: oh OK (long pause again, i was thinking she had all the information she wanted)

Student: So you still have the hair bands in your room?

Me: Yes (i felt like asking if she needed some hair bands but decided not to)

A little bit about me!

I am a full time college student at Concordia University of Irvine. I am getting close to being done with school, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am studying to become an elementary teacher, i would love to teach kindergarten or first grade but will take what i get.

I work part time at preschool as a daycare teacher. I love my job, I have worked their since I graduated high school. I am a Jr. High girls leader at church. I have been with these girls for years and i love them so much! I love all the fun things we get to do together.

I am also a daughter, sister and girlfriend, to Matt. My family is important to me so i spend as much time as i can with them. That is all for today

Fixed Hair Cut!

So today after church i went and got my hair cut for the second time. This one turned out much better, and a lot cuter! When they laddie was cutting my hair she wanted to know what the first lady was thinking when she let me walk out that way.

First blog

So i am starting this blog, just for fun! Today i cut off 11 1/2 inches of hair to donate to locks of love. This sadly was not a super great experience because i ended up with a bad hair cut! It is bad. I will have to get it fixed in the next day or two, i hope the new cut will be better!
